Today, all access to TGs and SUTs (regardless of whether it's physical testbed, VIRL or Vagrant) is using SSH.

In case a catastrophic issue (kernel crash, out of memory, ...) prevents SSH access, or in case the VPP under test misconfigures a SUT's management interface, we currently have no good way to capture the failed SUT's status.

The aim of this JIRA issue is to develop an infrastructure – applicable to all of VIRL, physical testbeds, LF hosted VM, and Vagrant, that allows CLI access and access to Linux kernel console output via an out-of-band method such as serial console.
