Faces are manipulated by three different entities: the forwarding nodes, mapme processing node and the cli. In a multithread environment, processing nodes and the cli runs on the main thread while the forwarding nodes run on the worker thread. To support such configuration face manipulation must take into account this model. Currently mapme moves dpo related to faces in a fib/tfib entry, the cli add and remove faces and the forwarding nodes add and remove faces from a pit entry as well as they use face to forward interest and data packets
