The new command added to the forwarder is mapme_send_update_command, which mostly takes prefix information, and forces the forwarder to increase sequence number and re-send MAP-Me signalization messages. This functionality is useful to maintain a keepalive or ensure robust communication with respect to NAT timeouts. This command is purposedly not exposed to the API. The command is rejected unless it originates from a face that is a next hop for the prefix (in other terms it arrives through the producer face).
